"Trust in God, Then Go and Do"

Lizzy gave us a powerful lesson from President Henry B. Eyring's talk from the October 2010 General Conference. President Eyring talks about several scripture stories in which people were told to do something and they waivered in their trust in the Lord, including the story of Jonah and also of Peter when he walked on the water. He also spoke of Nephi, who put his trust in the Lord and said "I will go and do the thing which the Lord has commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandment unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way from them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them." (1 Nephi 3:7) Joseph Smith also trusted in the Lord when he went to the grove and prayed to know which church he should join.
Elder Eyring says, "You show your trust in Him when you listen with the intent to learn and repent and then you go and do whatever he asks".
May we all be able to put our trust in the Lord and go forth and do those things which he has commaned us to do!
